New Year, New Me






                   Its finally here, the year 2019. A new year and a great way to make a new start. And what better way to do that than to start over a new Me. I can’t start over a new Me without “Change”. I would need to change everything about me that’s been holding me back. Changing my ways of making decisions, my way of interactions and how I live my life as a person. Its a process we have to take in order to improve ourselves and become a better person.

                    All my life I haven’t been contented by the way I lived my life as a Teenager. I’ve always been a lazy bum, a couch potato, neglectful, apathetic, etc. I can’t even comprehend how much of an introvert I am, not having any interest with anything that happens to anyone around me. Always locked myself inside the house like a hermit and barely go outside because of very protective and restrictive parents, or at least, that’s how I used to be in my childhood. And I knew I had to do something to better improve my well-being.

                    I'm sure that many people may struggle with the change we have to undergo, but it depends from person to person on what they think they have to do to become a better person. If I want to improve myself and my well-being, then I might as well work hard to find the new Me that I have solely been looking for and live my life the way I wanted.

Kannawidan: Reliving History of Ilocos

              Kannawidan is an event held in Vigan to celebrate the separation of Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte, It is held on the last week of January to the first week of February. It includes the cause of events in the commemoration of the foundation day of the province.               Kannawidan is a Festival for all Ilocanos which showcases historical traditions of Ilocos. The festival hold various events which includes street dancing, food festivals and many more. The festival is also a show of the province’s trade and agriculture products, and is a livelihood training ground for women and students through the Department of Trade and Industry and Department of Agriculture. ISNHS Foundation Day

          Ilocos Sur National High School just celebrated its 117th Annual Foundation Day. This school has been around for so long that the school just has to celebrate its success and to commemorate the founding of the school.           This year's celebration was held on the 1st and 2nd day of March. The celebration was a blast and almost all of the students enjoyed it. Pretty much all the students enjoy Foundation day as if it was their birthday. Before the foundation day, a lot of preparations are made. All the rooms completely cleaned, decorate all the buildings with tassels and banners, balloons etc. And we cant forget about the preparation of the field demo where all the students and teachers get to part take in a dance for each grade level to celebrate Foundation day.
